UCSC’s “Just Like Us” Garners Praise in Santa Cruz Sentinel Review
We’re thrilled to share that Just Like Us, presented by UC Santa Cruz’s Theater Arts Department, has received a glowing review from the Santa Cruz Sentinel. The production is highlighted for its heartfelt performances and powerful storytelling.
The Sentinel highlights the cast's compelling portrayals and the production's timely exploration of immigration and identity, emphasizing the play's emotional resonance and relevance.

New Play Festival '25
May 23 - June 1
Studio B100, UCSC Theater Arts Center
Come to PPD's first New Play Festival of staged readings! Student-run with student playwrights, directors, actors, dramaturgs, etc., the festival is guided by Assistant Professor Lisa Marie Rollins, who says the festival "is like a development lab where students can propose any kind of experiment, get development support, and have a showcase with low stakes.”
