UCSC Theater Arts Undergraduate Advising
- On the first day of Enrollment Prep Week:
- 1) The Schedule of Classes Class Search is posted.
- 2) You can see your enrollment dates in your MyUCSC portal - look them up, put them on your calendar, and set reminders! (Waitlists open during the second round of dates.)
- 3) You can start putting classes in your shopping cart in preparation to enroll on your date(s).
- ADVISING: Enrollment Prep Week is an ideal time to meet with advisors to update your academic plan, discuss enrollment and class selection questions, etc., before your first enrollment date.
- Schedule an advising appointment with the Theater Arts Advisor (Moon) through Navigate Slug Success!
- Graduate students can email theater-...@ucsc.edu with questions.
- SEE UPDATED COURSE OFFERINGS SHEETS at the top of the Theater Arts Course Offerings and Enrollment web page.
- Course offerings sheets include a key to help you choose classes for upper division requirement categories.
Scheduled enrollment dates begin on Nov 13.Winter 2026 instruction begins Jan. 5, 2026.
MAJOR DECLARATION
Undeclared Holds placed yesterday:
Students who are not yet declared in a major and are in or past their declaration deadline quarter will have holds placed on next quarter's enrollment (following an email message). If you are still not declared in a major and a hold is placed on your account, enrollment will not be possible until a major is declared or a major advisor alerts your college of declaration conditions. Contact your major advisor if you think you may be in this situation (or your college advisor if you are still undecided). This does not apply to second majors or minors.
STUDENTS GRADUATING IN FALL OR WINTER:
You will apply for OFFICIAL GRADUATION (to receive an official diploma) from the university through your MyUCSC portal. You may do this up to one quarter in advance, including summer. Deadlines for applying to graduate are listed in the current Academic and Administrative Calendar. Click here for General UCSC Graduation information.
All students graduating this year are welcome to participate in the Theater Arts & Dance CEREMONIAL graduation commencement/celebration in June. Contact the...@ucsc.edu if you have questions about the spring ceremony.
