I write with the sad news that Emeritus Professor Norvid Roos, a longtime member of our faculty from 1975-2003, has passed away. Our veteran community members will remember Norvid as a superlative scenic designer who helped establish the department and to launch Shakespeare Santa Cruz. I attach a moving tribute from Professor Emeritus Kathy Foley.
