UC Global Health Day - Application deadline is Dec 19!

On May 7th of next year, the University of California’s Global Health Institute will be holding its annual meeting on our campus.  You are encouraged you to apply to present a poster on your work at the meeting. Undergrads, grads, and postdocs are welcome to apply.

Any topic that connects with the health of individuals, communities, nations and the environment would be appropriate. The cost of the meeting is nominal, only $15-20. An exciting list of speakers will present their work, and this is a great chance to hear from and meet people from throughout the state who are working on issues of health.

Abstract Deadline Extended

The UC Global Health Institute (UCGHI) invites abstracts for poster presentations and proposals for breakout sessions that exemplify the breadth, depth and transformative possibilities of current global health research, education, and program development across all UC campuses and disciplines for UC Global Health Day 2022.

We have extended the submission deadline to December 19, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. PT.

Approaches may range from basic and translational global health science to community struggles for health justice, with possible topics including (but not limited to) access to medicines, agroecology, bioethics, climate crisis, community health workers, genomics, health humanities, indigenous health, mental health, migrant health, racial justice, women's health and LGBTQIA health. We aim to highlight the rich diversity of work being done in global health spaces across different disciplines.

Important Dates:

• Submission System Opens: October 4, 2021
• NEW Submission Deadline: December 19, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. PT
• Notification of Acceptance: February 7, 2022
• Confirmation of Accepted Submissions: February 14, 2022
