Fall Chapter Application 2025!

We are pleased to announce that the UCSC chapter of Psi Chi has opened our Fall 2025 application TODAY, Wednesday, September 24th. Please read through our Fall 2025 Application Period Important Dates section for more information on our upcoming informational session and deadlines.
Fall 2025 Application Period Important Dates:
- Applications open on Wednesday, September 24th at 9am PST
- Info Night will be held on Wednesday, October 1st time TBD on Zoom (finalized time/link and other details will be sent in a separate email). We highly encourage you to attend our informational session to learn more about Psi Chi, membership benefits, the application process, and the requirements to join. For incoming and existing members, attending this event will contribute to your active membership requirement of attending 3 meetings per quarter
- Applications close on Friday, October 3rd at 11:59pm
- Application decisions will be sent out on Monday, October 6th
- International and chapter fees (totaling $85) will be due by Thursday, October 9th for all accepted members (if you perceive payment issues, please contact us EARLY).
- Induction Night will be held in the following week of membership acceptance in person! (Finalized time and other details will be sent in a separate email to official members).
Please make sure to complete these next steps in order to officially join Psi Chi:
1. Complete the Psi Chi General Application: tinyurl.com/psichigeneralapp
2. Complete the Psi Chi Chapter Application: UCSC Psi Chi Chapter Application
(Be sure to be signed in with your UCSC account)
3. Wait to hear back from us as to whether you have been accepted
4. Submit your one-time membership fee of $25 to our Venmo (@Jillian-Dambrosi-1) or Zelle (+1 707-771-8447) account and a $60 fee to Psi Chi Internationals (they will send an email through which you will find a payment link).
Both the General and Chapter Applications are due on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3rd. Please complete BOTH applications to be considered for membership.
Remember, the qualifications to be accepted as a member of Psi Chi are as follows:
1. Must be a declared major in Psychology and/or Cognitive Science
2. Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA for Psychology and Cognitive Science courses (Find out your major GPA here) AND a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
3. Must have completed at least 14 quarter units (~3 courses at UCSC) of courses in the Psychology or Cognitive Science Department (equivalent to 9 semester units for transfers)
