Hello all,
I'd love to invite you to an upcoming workshop that's part of my ongoing series on bridging research and practical application in the field of clinical psychology.
"Queer Mental Health and Suicide Risk: A Workshop on Recent Research, Lived Experience, and Building Resilience"
In this session, I'll be translating my recent research on social determinants of health (SDOH) and their contribution to 2SLGBTQIA+ suicide risk into accessible, practical skills, designed for attendees of all knowledge and experience levels.
This research has been accepted for publication in the UCSC Journal of Social Medicine and has been presented at several conferences, including the North American UAEM Conference at UCLA, the Psi Chi Undergraduate Research Symposium at UCSC, the San Jose State Psychological Research Association Conference, and the Cornell Undergraduate Psychology Conference. It has also been accepted to two international psychology conferences at Oxford and Cambridge, as well as UC Berkeley's 17th Annual California Cognitive Science Conference.
This event is open to everyone, both UCSC and non-UCSC community members, and free food and refreshments will be provided.
Date: Monday, May 26th, 12:00–2:00 PM Location: Lionel Cantú Queer Center 633 Crown Road, Santa Cruz, CA 95064
