Dear undergrad department of psychology,
I’m reaching out from UCSF with an exciting new class for UC Santa Cruz students.
We have developed a special academic experiential course on personal and social resilience to the ecological crisis that has been transformative for many students! However, as a new course we need your help raising awareness of it, and we are open to 100 students. Enrollment for the Spring 2026 UC-wide Climate Resilience Course is opening soon.
This will be the third year of the UC Climate Resilience Course and it’s now available at all 10 UC campuses in 2026.
The initiative has been featured by NPR and UC News, highlighting the momentum behind this innovative and impactful program. About the course:
Students today are navigating the realities of climate change and global uncertainty. This class helps them build stress resilience, a sense of purpose, and strong community connections while engaging in meaningful climate action. Students learn through short talks from global climate leaders, interactive small-group sessions led by mindfulness teachers, and hands-on climate resilience projects. Our evaluation is published here.
