The Health Equity in Youth lab at University of California, Santa Cruz is recruiting student volunteers with experience securing off-campus housing for a paid summer opportunity, totalling 15 expected hours. The project will be compiling resources for supporting students in finding off-campus housing and reinstating a peer mentoring network for students. Although the student housing office provides resources for securing off-campus housing, students often rely on gathered knowledge among their peers. Students who encounter social challenges may be further disadvantaged due to a lack of access to this knowledge. Therefore, we invite students who are passionate about housing insecurity and supporting their peers to remotely volunteer to compile their resources for understanding on-campus housing policies and finding off-campus housing.
