Dear Student,

Have you ever considered completing a graduate degree in psychology? The Summer Undergraduate Research Education Program (SUREP) is a free virtual summer education and mentorship program designed to provide undergraduate students (and recent graduates) with information about what graduate study in psychology involves, what it takes to get there, and what career options are open with a Ph.D. in psychology. We're reaching out to Psychology majors at colleges and universities to share information about our program and encourage interested student to consider applying.

The SUREP program will take place June 29th through July 17th 2026, Monday through Friday, between 5:00 and 7:00 pm Eastern time.  Participating students will have the opportunity to:

  •  Learn from experts in the field about their current research and how they got there
  • Work with current graduate students to compose graduate application materials
  • Learn about how to create research questions, design a research project to test those questions, and give a research presentation

To learn more and apply for SUREP, click this link and fill out the application. Applications should be submitted by May 30th 2026. If you have questions you are welcome to contact the program coordinators (surep...@uga.edu) or reach out to the program director, Dr. Allison Skinner (allison...@uga.edu).
