Hi there,

I am a researcher at UT Austin and I am trying to use OpenRAM for a project. I find it very easy to use. I am able to generate all the deliverables for the SRAM I want.

I am struggling with identifying the array efficiency of the memory that was generated. Can someone help? What I mean by array efficiency is the area of the memory cells divided by the total area of the SRAM.

I tried looking through the code and also the ICCAD'2016 paper, but haven't been able to figure it out. I see that the total area is printed in the final HTML file and the .lib file. But I am unable to print the area of just the memory cells.

Please help.

Thanks in advance,
Aman

Hi,

We don't output that now but it's a good idea. That and the density per bit would be useful.

You could open the GDS in klayout and measure it. We aren't very efficient but are making progress...
