Hello,
I am wondering if OpenRAM does not support new technologies, anymore. Because I could not find "setup_scripts" folder in technology folder.

Thanks

Emre

Hi Emre,

We still allow new technologies, but the setup scripts have moved. They are now the __init__.py python scripts in each technology directory. This is a more Pythonic way of organizing each technology as a module rather than having a setup script in a second directory.

Note that we also allow multiple technology directories in the search path now and they will all be considered. For example:

export OPENRAM_TECH="/home/user/openram/technology:/project/private_tech"

Thanks for the rapid answer. It's quite exciting! I am curious that OpenRAM really works to compile a memory with commercial pdks. Is there any work, before?
Bests,
Emre

Hi Emre,

Yes, we have no problem with commercial PDKs and commercial tool flows. Porting to each takes some work and we are always eager to improve this process with feedback.

Sure, let us know if you have questions or suggestions.

We also have a slack channel in the README.md.

Also, take a look at the new document in Google sheets rather than the outdated latex docs.

Best,
Matt
