We are still experiencing some issues with Tableau. We will need to restart the services and Tableau will be unavailable for about an hour. I will provide an update when it's back up.

Tableau Users,

Tableau was upgraded on Saturday, however, we are experiencing an error message when trying to publish a dashboard from Tableau Desktop to Tableau Server. The dashboard itself will get published to Server, however an error will appear stating the "Connection is not private" and the URL will reflect tableau-test.ad.uci.edu.

The team is looking into it. Please let me know if you have any questions.

The restart unfortunately did not resolve the issue and we will need to roll back the upgrade. Tableau content will be restored as of Saturday afternoon. Anything deployed to the server between Saturday night and today will be lost. 

Tableau will continue to be unavailable until about 11pm tonight.

Unfortunately, the restart did not resolve the issues as the latest upgrade has surfaced some unknown errors. 

As a result, we need to take Tableau offline and do an emergency restore, as of Friday at 8pm.

We are targeting Tableau to be back up and running around 2pm this afternoon.

We need to do an emergency restart/restore of the Tableau services after a change last night that didn't stick. Tableau will be down for about 1.5 hours. I will send out a notification once complete.


All subscriptions and extracts failed this morning.  I will restart them all when services are back up.

We will be attempting to upgrade the Tableau Server again tonight, Monday, 10/14, starting at 8pm and should be complete around 11pm. Tableau will be upgraded to the newest version, 2024.2.3. I will send out a follow-up tomorrow morning to confirm the status.
