UCPath Report Update 3/18/2024

Hope all is well! It’s been about a year since my last report update and wanted to provide a quick update of some of the changes that have been published since my last email on 3/9/2023. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!
Report Updates
UCPath FTE Dashboard (RUCI283) - ** NEW **
A new UCPath report has been developed that provides a quarterly snapshot of FTE and salaries. The default report view shows the latest completed quarter (snapshots are available for October, January, April, and June). Multiple years can also be selected to see the trends over the past few years. The report was developed in collaboration with the Budget Office, the Office of Information Technology, and the Office of Academic Planning and Institutional Research and is intended to support budgeting and financial planning. Report is published to UCPath Decision Support, under the Budget/FTE section and can be viewed from a campus perspective (when employee detail is hidden) or for the unit(s) you are responsible for (when employee detail is set to show), matching the DOPE report security. There are multiple hierarchies within the dashboard that can be expanded, and additional information is included on the Notes tab of the dashboard.
Employee Rosters Report (RUCI03)
- Added an additional column for Postdocs “Postdoc Experience Increase Month”
Distribution of Payroll Expense Report (DOPE) (RUCI04)
- Updated the source of the Position Number to be sourced from Payroll, rather than looked up
- We are also in the process of resolving a defect with UCPath where Job attributes may be reflecting incorrectly on the DOPE report. Most of the affected population is from Jan 2024 and had job changes occur during payroll processing.
- Added the following optional fields on the detail view:
- Reports To Position Number
- Reports To Employee ID
- Reports To Employee Name
- KFS Account Manager
- KFS Fiscal Officer
Leave Balances Report (RUCI12)
- Added Job Code/Job Code Description as optional fields
- Resolved an issue where records were duplicating when exported to Excel
Code Description Lookup (RUCI19)
- Added custom column options on Job Code view
- Added Floor to Location view
- Added UCInetID & email for HRBP and Recruiter on Department View
- Added Levels 2-5 on Department View
- Resolved issue where Director Email wasn’t showing up
Hours on Pay Status Report (RUCI31)
- Resolved an issue where telecommuting hours were showing as NonWk in the hour summary
Supervisor Report (RUCI32)
- Added a count to differentiate Career vs Non-Career employees
Position Report (RUCI41)
- Resolved an issue where the count of incumbents was being duplicated if there were multiple reports to
- Updated the column name for the Reports To Position field on the Position History view
- Added Location as an additional field
Salaries by Fund Report (RUCI42)
- Added UC Earn End Date as an additional field
Salary History Report (RUCI47)
- Added Previous Hourly Rate and Previous Annual Rate as additional fields
Salary Cost Transfer Report (RUCI52)
- Resolved an issue where some of the transfer details in the header were not showing for Benefit transfers
Additional Pay Report (RUCI58)
- Resolved an issue where Employee ID was not showing on the report
- Resolved an issue where the Search by Employee prompt was not working
Service Credit Balance Report (RUCI84)
- Added an option to view historical accruals to help identify if there were months where an employee did not accrue service credits
Job History Report (RUCI89)
- Added Change Percent and Change Amount as optional fields
Position Funding Audit Report (RUCI92)
- Added a prompt for effective status to be able to view inactive positions
- Added Expected End Date for filled positions
Work Authorization - I9 Completion Audit (RUCI109)
- Added Worksite ID as an optional column and updated logic to filter out I9 compliance if Worksite ID = ‘N’
- Added Tracker Profile ID
- Renamed Report
- Added Supervisor Name to report
- Added Position Number
- Added logic for employees hired before 11/6/1986
Department Paycheck Report (RUCI124)
- Resolved an issue with the row level security
Budget Distribution Report (RUCI140)
- Reworked some logic to improve performance
- Added an additional view to help export a template for I-377
Work Authorization Report (RUCI142)
- Added the following fields:
- HRBP
- e-Verify Flag
- e-Verify Exemption
Oath and Patent Audit Report/Dashboard (RUCI154/RUCI219) - ** NEW **
- Rebuilt Oath and Patent report, along with a dashboard to help with compliance
PFCB Usage Report (RUCI171)
- Updated logic on the report, per the new policy, to increase from 70% to 100%
PFCB Entitlement Report (RUCI172)
- Updated logic on the report, per the new policy, to increase from 70% to 100%
Absence Accrual Detail (RUCI173)
- Added additional fields to help identify possible lost accruals
AB119 Union Employee Audit (RUCI205/RUCI206)
- Added Supervisor Email and HRBP Email
- Removed hardcoded accredited job codes as necessary updates to the job codes were made
Person Roster (RUCI214) - ** NEW **
- Simplified version of the Employee Roster Report (RUCI03) that does not include any compensation
- Can grant access to DSS - WFA Report Viewer (No Comp Data) - HR Dept if users need access to a report without any compensation
Position Reports To Hierarchy (RUCI216) - ** NEW **
- New dashboard to identify Reports To relationship from the Chancellor, down 13 levels, based on the Position Reports To structure
- Includes both filled and vacant positions
- Can also be used to audit positions that:
- Do not have a Reports To
- Report To themselves (immediate circular relationship)
- Positions that do not fall under any of the 3 scenarios above (i.e. reporting to inactive position, invalid position, or circular relationship somewhere within the hierarchy)
Additional Updates
- Deployments will be moved to only Wednesdays and Fridays (unless urgent) and will follow the OIT Change Request process
