3rd SKAE Conference | Anthropology in/of a Decentered World: Neoliberal Crises and Resistances | 6-8 November 2026

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the Call for Papers of the 3rd Conference of the Association of Social Anthropologists of Greece (ASGH), entitled: “Anthropologies of an Eccentric World: Neoliberal Crises and Resistances” is open for sumbissions.

The Conference will be held in person in Volos, on 6–8 November 2026, in collaboration with the Department of History, Archaeology and Social Anthropology of the University of Thessaly.

We invite members of the anthropological community, as well as researchers from related fields, to submit their proposals.

Proposals are accepted for:

• individual presentations,
• pre-formed panels,
• side events.

The deadline for submitting proposals is September 16, 2026.

The working languages ​​of the Conference will be Greek and English. No simultaneous interpretation will be provided.

We will be happy to meet you in Volos and have vivid discussions about the anthropologies of an eccentric world.
