Greece in The European Union: Integration, Crisis, & Sovereignty
| Join us at the National Hellenic Museum, in partnership with the Consulate General of Greece in Chicago, and ENOSIS Federation Illinois, for an evening with Dr. Konstantinos Kourtikakis, Teaching Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Kourtikakis will discuss the role of the European Union (EU) in Greece and Greece in the European Union, including the ways in which Greece has changed because of EU membership and conversely influenced the direction in which the EU has evolved. Together, the National Hellenic Museum and the Ukrainian National Museum invite families and lifelong learners to explore how Easter is celebrated across Eastern Orthodox and Byzantine Catholic traditions, through ritual, storytelling, and shared cultural practices that reflect deep historical roots and living community traditions. | Through March and April, members of both museums enjoy reciprocal admission, making this an ideal time to visit the Ukrainian National Museum in West Town and experience this cross-cultural partnership firsthand. |

Celebrate Easter Egg traditions from around the Orthodox world at Eggs Across Traditions, a hands-on family program presented by the National Hellenic Museum’s Museums in Conversation in collaboration with the Ukrainian National Museum, at 10:30am on Saturday, March 28th.
Children and families will explore how different cultures decorate Easter eggs, learn the stories behind the symbolic significance, and move around the world to learn from each culture. This interactive event invites young learners to discover shared traditions of renewal, creativity, and community across cultures.
After, at 11am, participate in a Museum wide Easter Egg Hunt! Search among the exhibits for Greek traditional red eggs.
