Research Innovation Programme on Greece & Cyprus
2026 Call Now Open
The Centre for Research on Contemporary Greece & Cyprus - Hellenic Observatory invites applications for the Research Innovation Programme on Greece and Cyprus, generously supported by the A.G. Leventis Foundation.
Launched in 2025, the Programme supports high-quality research that addresses pressing economic, political and societal challenges facing Greece and Cyprus. It reflects the Centre’s commitment to fostering policy-relevant scholarship that advances knowledge, informs public debate and contributes to evidence-based policymaking.
The 2026 Call is now open. This year, the Programme seeks to support research under two thematic areas:
• The class divide: privilege, institutional interlocks, and the reproduction of social stratification
• Being female: inclusion, inequality, participation, and empowerment
We welcome innovative and policy relevant proposals that contribute to a deeper understanding of these contemporary challenges in Greece and Cyprus.
Visit our website to find out more about the Programme’s research themes, application process, timeline and expected deliverables.
