Dear colleagues,

I am investigating a group of seventeenth-century Greek printed confession handbooks, mostly produced in Venice and Rome:

Νικηφόρος Πασχαλεύς († ca. 1628)

  • Ἐγχειρίδιον μεθοδικόν περὶ τοῦ μυστηρίου τῆς μετανοίας καὶ ἐξομολογήσεως – Venice, A. Pinelli, 1622; Venice, N. Glykys, 1673 (2nd ed.)

– Rome, B. Zannetti, 1630
– Rome, 1628; 1633  (2nd ed.)

– Venice, 1708

I have already consulted the 1671 Roman edition of Rodinos’ Περὶ ἐξομολογήσεως at Princeton.

If any of you are aware of:

  • digitized copies (especially of the Venetian editions),

  • holdings in North American or European collections not easily traceable via WorldCat/Anemi/HathiTrust,

  • or bibliographical studies specifically addressing the print history of these manuals,

I would be most grateful for any guidance.

With many thanks in advance,

Stefano Di Pietrantonio
