Dear list members,

I am very happy to share the publication of a new book exploring the continued legacy of the Cold War in Greece and Italy.

My monograph Lurking Cold War: Life Through Historical Communion is now out with Berghahn (flyer attached). It explores the connections between global categories and individual experiences of the Cold War in Greece and Italy through materiality, imagination, speculation, and affect. The book puts forward a theory of methexi, or how people and history are brought into communion, blurring the boundaries between the known and unknown, reality and imagination, form and interpretation. The result is an articulation of history that not only reveals the ongoing presence of the Cold War but shows how and why it still matters today.

There is 50% discount on the book when ordered through the Berghahn website with code PIPY2428.

I hope that the book will be of interest to some MGSA members. Please consider for your libraries!
All best wishes,
Stavroula
