Award to help support the 6th Pelion Summer Lab for Cultural Theory and Experimental Humanities (PSL) which will take place from June 27 to July 7, 2025, in Neochori, Mount Pelion. The Summer Lab is an innovative model of collaborative research that brings together scholars from anthropology, media studies, the arts, and environmental and digital humanities to reimagine how social and cultural inquiry engages with local communities around urgent issues in Greece and beyond. This year’s Summer Lab will focus on the aftermath of the devastating 2023 Thessaly floods and the ecological collapse of Lake Karla.

Award to support the pilot phase of a digital history project that will analyze a data sample from the Statue of Liberty―Ellis Island Foundation’s online archive to construct an immigrant profile and map the migration of Greek and Ottoman nationals from regions of the Ottoman Empire that overlap with Turkey to the United States. Results will be accessible to the academic community and the general public through an easily accessible, user-friendly platform.
