On behalf of the Board of Directors of Postgraduate Students and PhD Candidates of the Department of Philology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), we are forwarding you the announcement for the 13th Postgraduate and PhD Candidates Conference, which will take place on 5-9 October 2026 in Athens. We would kindly ask you to forward the announcement below, so that students of your Department may participate or attend, should they wish to do so.

Call for papers:

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the 13th Conference for Graduate Students and PhD Candidates of the Department of Philology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, which will take place in Athens on 5-9 October 2026.

We strongly encourage active postgraduate students and doctoral candidates to submit abstracts to the email address 13thconferen...@gmail.com by June 15th. 

The subject of the abstract should fall within one of the following academic fields:

1. Classics (Ancient Greek Philology, Latin Philology, Papyrology)

2. Byzantine Philology

3. Modern Greek Philology

4. Linguistics

5. Folkloristics 

In addition to oral presentations, participants may also opt for a poster presentation. Applicants should explicitly state their preference upon submitting their abstracts   

Along with your abstract, please include a recent certificate confirming your status as an enrolled and active student in a graduate program or as a PhD candidate.
