Dear friends and colleagues,

Χρόνια Πολλά!

I’m pleased to share the release of several new conversations in the Why Theodorakis Matters series, marking the centennial of Mikis Theodorakis (1925–2021).

These dialogues, conducted in December 2025, bring together scholars, artists, and cultural figures to reflect on different dimensions of Theodorakis’s work—music, political memory, creative freedom, exile, resistance, and the enduring human questions his art continues to pose.

Rather than presenting these conversations individually, I wanted to make them available together, as a small constellation of voices that speak to one another across disciplines and perspectives. Each conversation stands on its own, but they are also meant to be listened to in relation to one another, over time.

🎥 The full set of newly released conversations can be viewed here:

I hope these conversations will be of interest to those who continue to think with—and through—Theodorakis’s work, whether as scholars, musicians, clinicians, or engaged listeners.

All good wishes for health and peace in 2026!
