Dear colleagues and friends,

Dear colleagues,

I write to announce a change in the JMGS book review editors and to thank Konstantina Zanou, Associate Professor, Department of Italian, Columbia University, for her work as JMGS Book Review Editor for the Social and Behavioral Sciences since July 2024. Konstantina edited reviews for the May and October 2025 JMGS issues and has now stepped down from her editorial role as of October 1.

Konstantina, your work has been stellar, and the collaboration easy and delightful. The editors wish you and yours all the best as you move on to other great things.

Nicholas Doumanis (doum...@uic.edu), Professor and Illinois Chair in Hellenic Studies, History (world history, modern Europe, Mediterranean, Greece, diaspora), is now officially the new Book Review Editor for the Social and Behavioral Sciences for the next three years (six issues). Welcome, Nick. We are grateful that you have agreed to take on this important work in the field of Modern Greek studies.

Nick joins Frank Hess (flh...@indiana.edu), Director of Graduate Studies at the Institute for European Studies and Coordinator of the Modern Greek Program at Indiana University and Book Review Editor for the Arts and Humanities from February 2024 to February 2027.

Book review editors may be contacted about new books at their email addresses and asked where to send review copies. Review copies should not go to the Johns Hopkins University Press office, where they will be discarded. Please remember that JMGS does not accept unsolicited reviews or suggestions about potential reviewers.

Information about the JMGS can be found on the JMGS-JHUP page here. (The book review editor change will appear soon.)

Thanks again, Konstantina!
