Maria Boletsi's "Specters of Cavafy" wins European Society of MGS book prize

I am delighted to announce that Maria Boletsi's Specters of Cavafy was selected by the board of the European Society of Modern Greek Studies as the winner of the prize for the best published monograph in 2024. You can read the announcement in Greek here. 

Maria Boletsi is Professor and “Marilena Laskaridis”  Chair of Modern Greek Studies at the University of Amsterdam and Associate Professor in Film and Literary Studies of Leiden University. 

The prize is accompanied by a cash prize of 500 euros.

Boletsi's Specters of Cavafy is published by University of Michigan Press in the series Greek/Modern Intersections.
