New Report!Ā

Revenue & Expense Object Code Balance Report

This brand-new report lets you review revenue and expense object code balances – and automatically flags abnormal balancesĀ for your attention.

  • Drill through directly to GL entry detailsĀ to investigate from within the report.
  • Abnormal balances are evaluated at the KFS Account levelĀ with no materiality threshold applied.
  • A flagged balance does not automatically indicate an error;Ā it simply signifies an item that needs further evaluation.

The existing Object Code Balance ReportĀ remains available. It focuses on expense object codes with multiple criteria. Financial Management Support is reviewing whether the new report can fully replace it.Ā

Find both reports at:

New Report!Ā

Chart of Accounts (COA) Lookup Dashboard

Ā The newĀ Chart of Accounts Lookup DashboardĀ (Power BI) consolidates all COA lookup information into one convenient place.

  • COA information is organized into three categories: KFS Account, Object Code, and Project.
  • Replaces the need to bounce between multiple legacy Cognos reports.
  • Faster and easier to navigate.

Ā

Heads up: All legacy COA lookup reports will still be accessible for the time being, but we plan to decommission them by January 2027. We encourage you to start using the new dashboard.

Access the dashboard at:

Updated!

AR Aging Report

We've updated how invoices are aged — the AR (Accounts Receivable) Aging Report now uses Due DateĀ instead of Billing Date (the creation date in KFS AR).

  • Ā More accurate cash flow visibility: aging by due date reflects when payments are expected, providing a clearer picture of current and upcoming overdue balances.
  • Better collections prioritization: truly delinquent invoices are surfaced, helping teams focus on accounts that need immediate follow-up.
  • Alignment with payment terms: negotiated terms (e.g., Net 30 or Net 60), avoiding misleading classifications that can arise when aging from the invoice date.

Ā

Enhanced!

AR Outstanding Invoice Report

We've made several enhancements to make this report more useful for day-to-day collections work:

  • Age in DaysĀ is now based on Due Date - consistent with the updated AR Aging Report
  • Invoice NotesĀ are now displayed directly on the report face for faster reference
  • The report can now be extracted to ExcelĀ and includes additional data fields to support further analysis
