Service Alert KFS Available During ZotPortal Maintenance on 5/13 The Office of Information Technology (OIT) has notified the KFS Team that ZotPortal will be down for maintenance from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13. The underlying database is being migrated to Amazon Web Services (AWS) during this window.
KFS will continue to be available while ZotPortal is down. You can access the financial system at the following link:
https://applications.oit.uci.edu/kfs/webapp/dashboard/home
Action List & Doc Search: After you log into KFS, the links to your Action List and the Document Search can be found in the Navigation Menu near the upper left corner. Document links are under their respective Module in the menu.
Tip: Users can use the KFS “Jump to” menu to start typing in the menu, lookup, or document they wish to initiate to have quicker access.
PI Report OIT has also notified the Accounting Office that the Principal Investigator Report will be down during the AWS migration. The report will be unavailable from 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13.
Decision Support During this migration, all KFS and UCPath reports (Cognos, Tableau and DWQuery) will still be accessible. You can access Decision Support from the UCI Data Warehouse website during the maintenance. Select the Decision Support link at the top of the page to view a dashboard of available reports.
There may be a 5-minute outage when we make a connection change to point to the new AWS server once the migration is complete. If you experience an error running a report, please wait a few minutes and try again.
If this is your initial experience with Power BI, you may encounter the login prompt displayed below. To log in, use your Microsoft login (i.e., UCIn...@ad.uci.edu or UCIn...@HS.uci.edu, if a campus or HS user respectively).
To access the Decision Support Dashboard, click on “UCI Decision Support” in the left navigation pane of the dashboard.
To access the reports, please select one of the Decision Support options located in the upper right corner of the screen. To view a specific report, click on the title.
