Hi Bill,

I was just wondering if there is any routine to plot the domain set up of the WRF run in the wrf python package. In NCL, we use the plotgrids_new.ncl file to do so.

I have attached an image of an example domain set up plot (generated from NCL script).

Thanks

Hi Milind,

Not currently, but I am probably going to add it to my todo list.  I think that utility actually ships with the WRF source code, and isn't part of the NCL-WRF package that wrf-python was based on.  If I remember, it works by parsing the namelist files, whereas wrf-python and WRF-NCL are primarily made to handle the WRF output NetCDF files.  So, it shouldn't be too difficult, but it just wasn't on my radar.  I'll make a ticket on GitHub.

Thanks,

Bill
