I'm not sure if this exact functionality has been translated into wrf-python. However, the GeoCAT Team (responsible for wrf-python) is currently working on translating NCL example code into Python code. As of current, there is one published WRF/wrf-
python code, and two more in progress in the Geocat-examples
GitHub repository. Definitely feel free to check out those codes and open an issue in the repository if you deem it necessary. If you think this would be more specifically a wrf-python function, I would recommend opening an issue in the
wrf-python repository. This repository is tailored for issues with the code such as bugs and performance issues, and general updates to the code itself. For both repositories, we definitely encourage outside input for improvements to the codes and additions to the repositories!
