Hi Molly,

Given the documentation (https://ral.ucar.edu/sites/default/files/public/WRFHydroV5_OutputVariableMatrix_V5.pdf), there should be a variable called QSNOW in LDASOUT NetCDF files. However, the LDASOUT files of a test run (with NWM configuration) do not have QSNOW. Also, many of other variables mentioned in the documentation above do not exist in LDASOUT files. Could you please let me how I can access these documented variables in the output files if they do not exist in LDASOUT?

Hi Irene,

You might try setting the hydro namelist option io_config_outputs to 0 if you haven't already.  The comments in the template namelist(s) could probably make this more clear, but this option controls what variables are output and aligns with columns G through M in the sheet you linked to.  Only option 0 will output QSNOW.
