Issue Installing rgdal for WRF-Hydro Subsetting Script

Hi everyone, 

I’m trying to run the wrf_hydro_subsetting script to create subdomains, but I get this error:

“there is no package called ‘rgdal’”

My R environment is already set up (R 4.4.3 with GDAL, PROJ, GEOS, and other packages like rwrfhydro, sf, and terra).

However, it seems that the subsetting script still depends on the old rgdal package, which is no longer available in new R versions.

Any suggestions and help are appreciated.

Hi Fatemeh, 

Unfortunately, the subsetting scripts are only tested and run with R4.3 and earlier versions. I know that a few of the libraries are no longer supported with the latest R versions. The easiest solution would be to do an earlier version of R, if you could. I use 4.3.
