Hello,

I have a question regarding the spatialweights.nc metadata.  It is not clear to me what the dimension "data" means.  For example, in Croton test case, there are 183 groundwater basins and the dimension "polyid" is equal to 183 which makes sense.  However, I cannot figure out what the dimension "data = 4980" is.  I appreciate your response to this question as well as letting me know if there is a more comprehensive explanation of the variables of spatialweights.nc.  In the WRF-Hydro documentation, I only can find the title of each of these variables.  For example, I do not know what the "overlaps" variable is and where it is used.  Another example is that I am not sure where the corner LL starts from.  Is that the lower left corner of the raster grid file?

Thanks,
Irene

Irene,

The spatialweights.nc file is specifically for the National Water Model (NWM) configuration of WRF-Hydro. The reason that the description is not contained in the WRF-Hydro documentation is because the file is part of NWM and as such we do not currently support this configuration in the community model. However, that may change in the future. Please see this description in another WRF-Hydro User forum post for more information:

Thank you,

Kevin
