Overland Flow Question

Hi,

I had a couple of questions about WRF-Hydro Overland Flow:

• Does overland flow occur only on grid cells defined as 'land' in the geogrid LANDMASK?  

• If not, where on the grid does overland flow occur?

• What happens to overland flow when it reaches a 'water' grid cell (i.e. sink)?

Any information and/or documentation on this topic is greatly appreciated!
