Change in number of stations in ​"*​CHANOBS_DOMAINx" file

Dear all,

I am running standalone WRF-Hydro for central India. I used ArcGIS 10.4.1 to generate hydrologic routing input files but didn't create LAKEPARM.nc. I added 10 station points in the domain. In Fulldom_hires.nc these 10 station points are present but in ​"*​CHANOBS_DOMAINx" and frxst_pts_out.txt file 7 or 8 stations are there. 

I don't know what I have done wrong. 

Please help me in this regard.

Dhanraj,

Have you checked the "frxst_pts" grid in your Fulldom_hires.nc routing grid file? These points all need to be located on cells that are marked as "channel" (value = 0) in the "CHANNELGRID" variable in Fulldom_hires.nc. You may need to adjust the coordinates of your forecast points so that they will be snapped to the channelgrid and then re-run the WRF-Hydro ArcGIS Pre-processing tools using the adjusted forecast point locations.
