Dear wrf-hydro_Forum,

i had set up own domain and run WRF-Hydro model, it seem successfuly finished,
except the file "frxst_pts_out.txt" did not display properly on LAT and LON values.
I attached below 2 files frxst_pts_out.txt and test_frxst_pts.csv for references.

Could anyone can correct this misunderstanding.
Thank you so much for any responds.

Tuong,

There is no geospatial (lat/lon) information in the frxst_pts_out.txt file. Instead, you will find the station number in the third column, which is indexed to the "FID" column in your test_frxst_pts.csv file. If you would like to have the geospatial information in your forecast point output file, you can turn on the netCDF CHANOBS output by setting CHANOBS_DOMAIN = 1 in the hydro namelist.

Hi Tuong,

I have used the test_frxt_pts in the past but have not paid much attention to the lat/lon info there. I use the  station number index (same as feature_id in netCDF files). Third and fourth column should be the lat/lon information as the document states but I do not have an example handy to confirm. https://wrf-hydro.readthedocs.io/en/latest/model-outputs.html

Is it possible something in the preprocessing of the model and preparation of the model has not been set up properly? Could you check the location of the forecast points in the .nc file. If you are using the gridded routing, the frxt points are in the Fuldom.nc file. Maybe they are not set up correctly?! Also, I noticed that you have 93 gages in the csv file you shared, but the model is outputting a subsection of it, another reason to check whether all the gages are done properly in the pre-processing step. However, the below option also controls up to what stream order to output. I usually set it to 1 to make sure I output all the points.

! Specify the minimum stream order to output to netCDF point file (integer)
! Note: lower value of stream order produces more output.
order_to_write = 4 !<-- Lowest stream order to include in output files. Selecting 1 gives
! you output for every reach/channel cell, selecting a higher order number
! gives you fewer channel output elements.

Thanks!
Arezoo

Dear Dr. Kevin  Sampson  ,  Arezoo Rafieei Nasab and  Nhung Dương Hồng,

Thank for your prompt and valuable comments,
Based on your advices, it seem that i have to do the thorough checking of my project setting configuration once more.

Best regards.
