Dear WRF-Hydro Users,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am currently working with the WRF–Hydro modeling system in coupled mode (WRF + WRF-Hydro), and I have successfully completed a simulation run. While the model is generating streamflow outputs, the values are extremely low. Based on the characteristics of the study area, we expect streamflow in the range of approximately 100–200 m³/s.

I would be grateful for your guidance on possible reasons for this discrepancy.

Could you kindly advise on:

  • Common causes of very low streamflow in coupled WRF–Hydro simulations

  • Key parameters or namelist settings that should be verified

  • Any recommended diagnostics or checks to help identify the issue

If required, I would be happy to share relevant configuration files (namelist.hrldas, hydro.namelist) or sample outputs for further review.

Thank you very much for your time and support.

Sincerely,
Preeti Jakhwal
