Hello Alice,

The general advice here is to review the aerosol fields to look for erroneously large values. If those do exist, then you will need to track down the source -- which aerosol component? Is it caused by emissions (e.g. biomass burning)?

I am not sure if the version is an issue. However, you could check that too by conducting the same simulation with an earlier WRF-Chem version.

Please check if your issue has been addressed before in the wrf-chem email archive. It's been a frequent question as to why the optical calculation gives errors. And please, send your questions to the wrf-chem list because there are many knowledgeable people in the community who could also help you out.

Regards,
Mary

Dear Marry,

I am using WRF-Chem version 4.5.2, chem_opt 202, with ERA5 data . After a few hours of running the model, I notice this message in my rsl file

After receiving these messages that appeared frequently in rsl file  the model stop with this error message :

Why did this happen? And how can I remove this problem please?

I attached my name list and rsl.error . Please advise me in this regard.

Thank you.
