Question on MOZART-MOSAIC_8BIN Availability and Its Relation to SAPRC99-MOSAIC_8BIN

Hello,

I have a question regarding WRF-Chem chemistry options.

In the literature, I see that:

  • MOZART-MOSAIC_4BIN corresponds to chem_opt = 201

  • MOZART-MOSAIC_4BIN_AQ corresponds to chem_opt = 202

However, in some studies, I have also seen MOZART-MOSAIC_8BIN, but I cannot find this scheme in the WRF-Chem namelist.

At the same time, the namelist includes:

  • SAPRC99-MOSAIC_8BIN (chem_opt = 203)

  • SAPRC99-MOSAIC_8BIN_AQ (chem_opt = 204)

I would like to ask:
Is MOZART-MOSAIC_8BIN equivalent to SAPRC99-MOSAIC_8BIN (chem_opt = 203), or are they fundamentally different?
