Hello All,
I am currently running WRF-Chem and attempting to add CH4 emissions input to the mozc_t1_em emission scheme. Based on the registry, I have added e_ch4 to the mozc_t1_em emission scheme (emiss_opt = 11). The T1_MOZCART_KPP chemical mechanism includes CH4 as an output species. This setup works well for benzene by providing e_benzene as input, I obtain the desired output for benzene. However, it is not working for CH4: despite providing e_ch4 as input, I am not getting any CH4 output.

I would appreciate guidance on how to properly integrate e_ch4 into the T1_MOZCART_KPP mechanism in WRF-Chem. If anyone has suggestions to help streamline the process of including CH4 in this mechanism, I would be grateful for your support.

Thank You,

Sunny

Hi Sunny,

you will have to add the fields into the registry.chem but you will also have to make changes in the code. I believe emissions_driver.F and module_emissions_anthropogenics.F should be the only ones you have to modify.

Hi Gabi,
Thank you for the clarification. I will proceed with adding the necessary fields to registry.chem and review both emissions_driver.F and module_emissions_anthropogenics.F for the required modifications.

Best regards,
Sunny
