Hello wrf-chem Users,

I'm currently running a WRF-Chem simulation, but I've encountered an error that I'm having trouble resolving. The model stops with the following message. I have daily emissions file of wrchemi_d01 & wrfchemi_d02

FATAL CALLED FROM FILE:  <stdin>  LINE:     930
... Could not find matching time in input file wrfchemi_d01_2019-04-01_00:00:00

It seems like the model is unable to find the required emission data for the start time 2019-04-01_00:00:00. I’ve checked that the file wrfchemi_d01_2019-04-01_00:00:00 exists, but I suspect there might be a time mismatch or issue with how the emissions are generated.

Regards,
Deepak

Hello Deepak

this error can sometimes mean that any other of the input files is missing or has an issue. Have you made sure your wrfbio, wrffire and wrf_chem_input exist? And have you made sure the time in the files is correct (e.g. ncdump -v Times {file} ?

Hi, if you are using,  io_style_emissions      = 2, then the Times variable needs to match the time of the file.
I'll bet if you look in the Times variable of this file, it will not match the wrfchemi_d01_2019-04-01_00:00:00
file.
