Dear all,
I just start learning work with wrf-chem model and have a basic question. I hope you advise me.

I want to run the model with chem_opt 32.
I first generate met_em data file, and then run real.exe whit chem_opt =0 to generate wrfbdy and wrfinput files.
After that, I generate wrfchem, wrffire, wrfbio, wesely and exo file, and move them to run directory.
In the next step  iI turn the chem_opt tp 32, and ru wrf.exe.

NOW MY QUESTION IS HERE:
once I turn on chem_opt = 30, should I run real.exe again, then run the wrf.exe?

or I should run the real.exe only one time while chem_opt  =0?

please advice me in this regard.
Kind regards

Hi Alice

you will not need to re-run real.exe, it is sufficient to run it once with chem_opt=0.

Keep in mind though that the created wrfinput and wrfbdy do not include chemistry fields and you also will need to run mozbc to add chemical initial and boundary conditions to them.
