Question about cell_method

I'm doing some test with the parametrization of lightning and I get a strange result while using the cell_method=1. I attached the figure of lightning accumulated after 12 hours. There are hard limits in the results that I think that come from the quantity of tiles that WRF uses, is this correct?. When I run the test with cell_method=2 the results seems ok, but the quantity of lightning were less. Is there any way to reduce those hard limits? because I understand that cell_method=1 is better for large domains.

The domain I used has 160x160 points and a resolution of 4 km.

The version of WRF that I use is 3.9 and I saw that have some bugs fixed in the 4.0. Some of this results are related to this? In any case, I'm planning to use a newer version of WRF in the future
