Indra,

the wrffirechemi* are read in when running wrf.exe and not when running real.exe. As stated in the README, we do not recommend using FINN emissions with online plumerise for chemistry options other then the MOZART schemes. This is because FINN produces the total emission strength but the plumerise routine expects the smoldering portion only. For MOZART Schemes a scaling is applied inside WRF-Chem.

Dear Mrs. Gabriele

I have some questions about FINN emission data for WRF/CHEM that I
downloaded from http://bai.acom.ucar.edu/Data/fire/.

I have finished running real.exe to include fire emission from hourly
wrffirechemi files, but got zero value for ebu_emission field. I
couldn't find any clue about the error in the rsl file. I thought it
was related with KPP. Do I have to install KPP to use FINN emission
data?

Beside, I was using emiss_opt = 7 and chem_opt = 2. Is there any
common chem_opt option to using FINN emission?
I can't find any detail about it in Emission_guide or wrfchemuserguide.
