Hi all, I'm a student who studying about WRF in South Korea.
Recently, I am performing a long term running using WRF.
I use almost 100 CPU for model running, but I have a storage problem  due to the rsl.error and rsl.out files. These files take up more space than the model output.

Currently, there is not enough storage on the server. Is there any way to use the model without creating these rsl files?

Or, I would like to know if there is a way to reduce the size of the rsl file without reducing the number of CPUs.

Please help me ...
Thank you very much!!

Hi there,

First, check your debug_level. If everything is running okay then make sure debug_level = 0.

I typically have simulations that use the restart function so my rsl files are for a shorter period of time. That is, if you have a 30-day simulation, you could run 6 5-day simulations where days 6-30 are started via restart configuration. You could delete the rsl files after each run but I think they will be overwritten with each new run too.
