Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone knows how to obtain information about the vertical levels in the wrfchemi files created by the anthro_emis preprocessor? I (wrongly) assumed that if I set the emissions_zdim_stag, the parameter responsible for the number of vertical levels in the wrfchemi output files, to something higher than the number of vertical levels in the wrfbdy/wrfinput files, there would be an error. However, I did not get such an error. I previously thought that each vertical level would correspond in altitude/thickness with the corresponding WRF level at a given point.
Any tips on how to find any vertical level information (height, thickness, etc), or even how to calculate it, would be great. Thanks in advance.

Catalina

Hi Lin,
Thanks! But do you know if the vertical levels in the wrfchemi files correspond exactly to the vertical levels in the wrfout files?

Catalina
