"Anthro_emiss" error

Dear all,

Greetings,

                   I would like to point out your attention on an error that I faced, when I run anthro_emis on December 2016. The interesting thing is that, I have not get any error while creating emissions for other months in 2016 from anthro_emis expect December. Here with I am attaching the error log file and namelist that I used for anthro_emis.
Responds will be highly appreciated.

Could you please execute the following command and return the result file, times.out, as

an attachment?

ncdump -h EDGAR-HTAP_emi_CO_2010.0.1x0.1.nc > times.out

Sherin would like to produce anthro_emis output datasets for Dec 2016 and as much of 2017 as possible.

As I understand we only have anthro_emis datasets for 2010 available on the web.  Do we have anything

suitable for 2011?  If not should a user simply copy the 2010 dataset and then alter the times to reflect
2011?

Hi Sherin and Stacy, 

other global data sets are available, but as of now  anthro emis is setup only for the provided inventories. It is up to the user to modify the namelist (and if necessary the code) if any other input global emission inventory is used.

Hi all,

To follow up on this issue, the EDGAR-HTAPv2.2 2010 emission files have values for December and this inventory is compatible with current anthro_emis setups without modifications. The preprocessor works correctly with MOZART-MOSAIC (chem_opt=201/202) for the rest of the year and runs through December fine if you begin the run in November. The error only occurs when the runs begin in December. As I understand, the year mismatch between 2016 and 2010 is handled by the data_yrs_offset parameter ruling this out as a problem.

Is there a recommended solution beyond beginning the simulation in November and running through December?

Hi all,

I am facing the same problem in running EDGAR emission for December 2018. I have tried to change the “time” in the netcdf output file from the successful running date in November to December using NCO, but it did not work in wrf.exe running.

Have anyone come up with the solution? Could you please share your solution?

(a)  any rsl.error.* file that sheds light on the problem

(b)  the namelist.input file
