Dear group,
I am working on manual calibration of WRF-Hydro and stucked unable to gain any changes in model performance.

 I run it with activate OVRTSWCRT = 1, CHANRTSWCRT = 1, channel_option = 2 (Musk.-Cunge-reach), FORC_TYP = 5 (with my precipitation data).

I already tried to modify refkdt (and it is the only parameter which gave me noticable changes), LKSATFAC , OVROUGHRTFAC, RETDEPRTFAC in Fulldom_hires.nc, OV_ROUGH2D in hydro2dtbl.nc and slope in GENPARM.TBL. Othe listed variables do not give me any significant changes.

I would be very grateful for any suggestions, what can I do to obtain better results.
Maybe I modify the parameters in wrong files?
Where should I modify the value of slope? I found it only in GENPARM.TBL and soil_properties.nc (slope=0.1).

Best regards,
Barbara

Hi Barbara,

Some of the parameters that were in the GENPARM.TBL file have been moved to spatial files such as the soil_properties.nc file. Therefore, the model will read the parameters from the spatial files such as soil_properties.nc file, and not the GENPARM.TBL file. Slope in particular is in the soil_properties.nc file, please make modifications there.

Thanks!
Arezoo
