Dear All
Thank you for your always quick response!
I am working on the WRF-Hydro Model. The land use class that is in  modis_landuse_20class_30s_with_lakes looks like a constant/default. However, I want to change this land use class for a specific year (for example, 2010 LCU). So, please, who can give me the hint to do that?
I have tried to see the WRF Manual, and I think the model uses the binary format of this land use class, if I am not wrong.
Please give me a direction I can follow.
Thank you!

Tewekel,

If you plan to use WPS to generate your geogrid file, then you can convert your 2010 LCU landcover dataset (in raster format) to WPS binary format using the QGIS "GIS4WRF" plugin. This plugin allows you to convert a raster layer to WPS tiled binary format. You can then take your WPS binary tiles and use those as input to WPS, as long as you add appropriate entries into the GEOGRID.TBL file and reference the new layer in the geog_data_res section of namelist.wps. Be sure the data is in one of the supported landcover classification systems (such as MODIS or USGS 20/21 class).

Thanks,

Kevin
