Model structure

Hi,

Does the model first run LSM module for all grid cells and then RT module, or, does the model run LSM and RT for each grid cell and then passing the info to neighbor cells for the next calculation of fluxes and storages? In other words, when do the LSM states and fluxes get updated?

Hi Irene,

The model runs the 1-d LSM over the entire grid before going to the terrain routing module.  So the basic order of operations is:

LSM

grid disaggregation

terrain routing (overland flow, saturated subsurface flow)

bucket model

channel routing/reservoir routing

grid aggregation

LSM....and so on...
