Dear colleague,

You are invited to the 2020 Bank of Canada’s Annual Economic Conference - The Future of Money and Payments: Implications for Central Banking, taking place from November 5th, 2020 to November 7th, 2020.

This conference will take place virtually over the span of 3 days. It brings together policy makers and central bank and academic researchers to discuss new developments in money, retail and wholesale payment systems and their implications for central banking.  Professor Jean Tirole, the 2014 Nobel Laureate for Economic Sciences, will deliver the keynote speech.  A panel will discuss issues related to public versus private interests in money and payments.
