Progressive Economics Forum: Student Essay Contest, submissions due 9 May

Please find below a reminder about the annual student essay competition run by the Progressive Economics Forum (PEF), which includes cash prizes for both undergraduate and graduate students. Deadline is coming up fast - 9 May - and details are below.

The 2022 PEF Student Essay Contest is now open. Entries are accepted until May 9, 2022.

The contest is open to Canadian students anywhere in the world and to all post-secondary students in Canada. The winning essays will receive a cash prize of $1,000 for the graduate student category and $500 for the undergraduate student category.

Entries may be in French or English, and may be on any subject related to political economy, economic theory or an economic policy issue, and should reflect a critical approach to the functioning, efficiency, social and environmental consequences of unconstrained markets.

Submissions are to be made via email to PEFEssayC...@gmail.com until the deadline of May 9, 2022. Details about eligibility, as well as relevant forms to submit alongside the essay, are all available at this website: https://www.progressive-economics.ca/2022-pef-student-essay-contest/
