Hello Everybody:
I'm glad that the TSA has decided to start up an interactive group
on the web. I'm sure in no time at all this will be the place to come
for up-to-the-minute Chelonian info. I belong to several turtle
groups but many of them are limited in focus to only a select few
species. This group has the potential to touch a wide variety of
turtle species without blinking an eye. Status updates, conservation
news, and breeding tips should be very useful for people working with
chelonians both in the field and under contolled conditions.
I've seen a lot of things in the chelonian world over many years;
some good, some bad. I've been receiving news bulletins from this
group for the better part of a year now and to me it seems like the
TSA is in a unique position to do more for the good of turtles than
many other groups. Having professionals and hobbyists alike working
for a common goal is unique and, in the end, will surely prove to be
very successful. I look forward to having discussions with other
like- minded turtle people.
